How to relax at your next headshot session.

Despite what many would believe, the hardest part for most clients is the anticipation and anxiety the day before their session. What do clients tend to worry about?

1: Performance - Photoshoots are not an every day occurrence. Being good a taking photos is really hard. As your photographer I take great care in your appearance, posing and expressions. My onsite stylist Isabel is there to finesse your clothing and make sure every detail is on point. It’s ok to take a bad photo, thats what the delete button is for. We have to walk before we can run.

2: Embarrassment - Making a funny face, or just feeling self conscious. I’m so guilty of this one. It’s super hard to get out of your head and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I love to help my clients imagine a social situation where they thrive and feel comfortable. This helps them use their imagination when taking their images and look beyond the camera. Atlas Studios is a safe creative space. We won’t laugh at you, but we sure will laugh with you.

3: Clothing - Wether you have an expensive closet with clothes still dripping the price tags or the bare minimum - not to worry. The reason we stay on budget for shoots is to ensure every client has the ability to anticipate extra costs like hair and make up services, hair and nail appointments as well as a little bit of shopping.
